I have to say after four years of Island Hopping, I was kind of looking forward to one of those Cold Snowy Belgian Winters. I’d heard several stories from my friends and family the past four years. Unfortunately, we are now in March and the only snow I’ve seen in Belgium, was on a dark night of december and I was peeking through my bedside window.  Lazy me, I didn’t even bother to jump in my boots and go for a snowy midnight walk with the dog, thinking there was certainly more snow to come. To Bad, because I love those night walks so much, especially in the snow. There’s something romantic about them. The dark black clouds sliding over the almost Misty Full Moon. The bright light, illuminating the snowy streets. The snow crunching under the sole of my boots. The dog going crazy, sniffing away any animal trails in the powder snow.

Lucky for me Switzerland has somehow become a second home in Europe. ❤ ❤ Sandro’s been showing me around his area and I around mine ❤ <3. Its always Lovely to discover someones Home Country with them. No matter where you live, you always Love the place you’ve been brought up in. I’ve travelled the World for over Fours Years and I still Really Enjoy and Love Belgium.  My Country, my Family, my Friends … My Home.

So this is for all the people who think they have not enough money to go Skiing this year. Nothing is impossible, until you yourself, decide it is. It all lies in the way you want to make things happen. One day someone told me a crucial thing in life is looking at things differently. If you see a plastic bottle. Yes, Ok, its a plastic bottle, but what else can it be? What else can you do with it? For example: cut off the top of the plastic bottle, and it becomes… a funnel. 😀 Translation? Let Use Our Imagination. ❤

All these lovely moments with Sandro, made me realise how amazing the “CouchSurfing” concept actually is. Ever heard of it?

Several travellers are subscribed to this website and offer A Couch for other travellers to sleep on. If you don’t feel comfortable sleeping at a strangers house, there’s also the option to go have a coffee together. You can meet new Friends, visit new places and who knows maybe one day change your life, like I did. Only if you’re part of the dreamers that dream about something like that.

Melchee- Frutt is a SkiDomain located just a 35min drive from Lucerne, in Switzerland. It has 32km of blue, red and black pistes. Lucerne is one of the most famous touristic towns in Switzerland. Its a beautiful city, around a lake, just a couple of minutes from the mountains.

I believe the last time I sat foot on a snowboard must have been over 3 years ago and Skis, probably 15 years ago.

I looked at the SkiLift and remembered the nightmare of taking “Le Tire Fesses” – SkiLift with a SnowBoard, suddenly my heart started racing and I stopped breathing. Fear just took over. Lucky for me, I had a back- up plan: Goa Trance! =) I flipped open my iPhone and played a Good Bouncy Goa Song. The Adrenaline was at the highest peak and roaring like a lion I jumped on that SkiLift, kicked Fear right in the face and before I knew it I was standing on Top of the Mountain. YAHOOOO!! 😉 :p

Do you remember what it feels like to stand on Top of a Mountain? You feel completely Blown Away by the Beauty of the Place. Then you start moving forward and the snow is crunching under your boots. The sunlight is the brightest you’ve ever seen, its freezing, but still this bright sun warms you up. The Air is Pure. The people are calm. The children are Happy and Oh they are So Cute. You feel the tranquility is taking over and you feel extremely relaxed. Mmmmmmhhhh You close you eyes and take a few breaths of this Fresh Icy Air and the silence of the Mountain. Now wake Up ! and get ready to Glide down the first track. Glide through the Pine Tree Forest. We were extremely lucky, it had just been snowing all night, 15cm of fresh powder snow was whispering under our board. I Love Snowboarding! ❤ Wopaaaa!

Once in a while Its worth the while to Kick Fear in the Face. Take a chance in life. Never Try Never Know. ❤ Gili Air taught me that.
